A New Customer Development Adventure: ProductPlan


I haven’t posted in a while but I have a great excuse. Last Fall, I started validating a new product for, well, product managers.

After a thrilling few months of building a team and starting a company, last week my co-founder and I launched ProductPlan, a better way to create product roadmaps. We are thrilled by the response so far.

Like I’ve done for other companies, we used the customer development process to validate the market segment, problem we’re solving, the MVP, the value proposition, the sales channel, and price. At some point I’ll write up the recipe because it will make a terrific case study when I’m speaking with entrepreneurs and students.
