Jim Semick, Founder and CEO

For over 15 years, Jim has worked in software technology as an early-stage startup employee and entrepreneur. He has a successful track record of working with venture-funded software companies to discover and launch winning new products, and is a frequent speaker on the process of discovering business models and products that get it right the first time. Jim has led market validation efforts and created version 1.0 product requirements for successful SaaS products now generating hundreds of millions in revenue, including Citrix GoToMyPC, GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, GoToTraining, AppFolio Property Manager, RentApp, SecureDocs and others.

Greg Goodman, Consulting Partner

With more then 25 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur, investor, advisor and consultant, Greg excels at working with software companies in product validation, business growth, strategy and management. Greg has advised, invested or worked with ExpertCity, AppFolio, LessonPlanet, RightScale, Zuujit, and VGI. He was the founder of Miramar Systems, Inc. which was acquired by CA (formerly Computer Associates). At Miramar, he directed the development of Desktop DNA and PC MacLAN. Greg graduated from the UCSB with two bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Business Economics. He loves being outdoors from surfing to skiing and spending time with his two boys.
